Nutritional requirements for keeping your health in a good condition and
for slowing down the aging process
Here are some advices about the daily diet and about supplements of nutrients useful to keep the health in an optimal condition and to slow down the aging process.
A - Your basic diet
Your daily food shall contain some of these protein sources: Fish, mushrooms, foul, seafood and diery products with a low fat content. Red meat is good in moderate quantities, but large quantities of red meat is not good for your health. Fat fish is very valuable and you should eat fat fish at least two times a week.

Your daily diet shall also contain vegetables and fruit. You must eat these either raw or carefully boild so that the content of nutrients are not washed out.
Still another component of your daily diet shall be seeds that are both carbohydrate rich and protein rich, like nuts, almonds and sunflower seeds. Variate between several types of fatty seeds.
B - Your need for fat and fat-like substances (lipids)
You need the right fat types in your diet, and the right amount of fat. If you follow the advices under point A, you are on a good way to get the right fat balance. Here are however some additional advices about fat consume:
In order to get the right fat types and avoid consuming bad fat, you must combine fat sources so that you get equally much of these fat types: Mono-unsaturated fat, omega-3 polyunsaturated fat and omega-6 polyunsaturated fat. The consumption of saturated fat should be very little.
You find mono-unsaturated fat in these food types and oils made from them: Olives, canola, rape, almonds, peanuts, cashew pecan, hickory, hazel nuts, pistachio, macadamia, filbert and avocado.
You find omega-3 poly-unsaturated fat in these food types and oils made from them: Fat fish, seafood, flax seeds and perilla.

Use just a very moderate amount of butter, soy oil, corn oil and palm oil. A high consumption of these fat sources gives you too much saturated fat and poly-unsaturated of the type omega-6. Omega-6-fat is necessary, but people easily get too much of it.
Avoid alltogether fat altered by chemical processes, trans fat, since this type of fat very easily destroys your health and make you more easily get cancer and heart disease. These types of fat is very often found in margarine, cookies and snacks. You must therefore limit your consume of these products. Ufortunately trans-fat is also often added to bread. Therefore it is important to controle the composition of the bread you eat.
Lecitine is a special fatty substance that is used as building material in the cell membrans. The nervous system contain very much such membrans, and therefore lecitine is very important for the nervous systems. Experts advice that ca 30 % of your energy intake shall come from fat. That does not mean that 30% of your food shall be fat, since fat is very energy rich. Probably around only 8 % of the brute weight of your food should be fat.
C - Your need for carbohydrates
You need some carbohydrates, but not enormous amounts. A too high consume of carbohydrates makes you more easily get diseases like diabetes and heart problems.
The carbohydrates you consume shall also be in a form that is absorbed gradually from the intestines into the blood stream, so that you get a stabile blood sugar content. A swinging content of blood sugar is not good for your health, and also contributes to causing diabetes and heart disease.
By getting carbohydrates from whole corn cereals and other fibre rich food sources, you acheieve a stabile blood sugar level.
You must avoid consuming much pure sugar, refined flour, cookies, sweet sugar-loaded beverages or refined cereals, since these sources give you much carbohydrates that go rapidly into the blood stream. Do also avoid adding much extra sugar to your food or buying ready made food with much added sugar.
Some special kinds of sugar, called glyconutriens, may be difficult to get enough of. These sugar types are used as working tools at the cellular and intercellular level in the body. Some people experience that a supplement of glyconutrients helps their immune system to better fight disease and helps the body to recover after disease and injury.
D - Vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants
Vitamins and minerals are used as tools in the body for all the biochemical processes life consists of. By following the advices in point A. you wil authomatically get much of the vitamins and minerals you need. However, the way food is grown today, often make the food you can find in the stores deficient in vitamins and minerals. Also many people need some extra vitamins and minerals because of teir health condition or because they have an exhausting lifestyle or work. Anti-oxydants are compunds that hinder free radicals or toxic oxidizing substances from attacking the constituents of your body. Free radicals are pieces of molecules produced during the normal life processes, but also many types of pollutants entering the body produce free radicals. Free radicals very rapidly react with nearly any other chemical structure in the surroundings and can thus make a lot of damage. Anti-oxidants react with the free radicals and oxidizing chemicals instead, so that these do not get the opportunity to hurt body constituents.
The basic type of diet outlined above will also give you a basic supply of free radicals. But as with vitamins, a supplement of free radicals can be useful.
E - Dietary supplements
The amount one needs of nutritional supplements, like vitamins and minerals, differs very much according to a person`s health condition, work load and exposure to environmental stress. A person having a poor digestion, doing high performance sport or being exposed to a high amount of environmental stressors, may need more than a person in an average situation.
F - Tranquilizers and stimulants
You must consume Just a moderate amount of tranquilizers/stimulants as alcohol and coffeine, but in moderate amounts these contribute to slow down the aging process.
Do not smoke or use tobacho. Smoking and tobacho is dangerous in any amount. Even passive smoking hurts.
